Before coming to atwell fitness i was experiencing back pain, knee pain and hip pain from carrying the excess kilo's around with me. I was a heavy smoker, eating all the wrong types of food and had a direct course for an early retirement if you know what i mean. I had to do something. I was walking past atwell fitness and decided to pop in. it wasnt your conventional style gym where they just want you to sign up. These guys genuinely wanted to get involved and help me reach my goals. I trained 2 times a week for 30 minutes each time which isnt much at all and within the first 12 weeks i had lost 14.2 kilograms! AMAZING Now ive lost 32 kilos and im still training two times a week. I originally joined Atwell Fitness in order to get ready for my wedding. I expected to go for a couple of the so called “dreaded sessions” a week and that would be that. I never expected it to be so much fun and I actually started to look forward to my personal training sessions with my trainer and working out. The staff and other members are equally great. I have been in the fitness industry for well over 10+years now. Starting off at TAFE where I gained my Gym Instructor and Perosonal Training Certifications, I then Moved straight on to university. I used to work at the front desk reception area at the gym lance was a personal trainer at. I was very overweight, de-motivated and had no energy as my job was 90% sitting down. As i am a baker and working heaps, i didn’t have time to go to the gym for hours on end, walking on a treadmill and not getting any where. I needed to know what to eat and when to eat it. And i found the nutritional advice and guidance i received was like no other. If i wanted to follow the food pyramid i would have done so on the back of a box of weetbix. Zach being a registered Dietician, worked out exactly how many calories i needed to consume per day, how much i burnt off during the hours i was working, the amount of calories burnt during a workout, and created a caloric deficit to get me loosing 1kg per week. I felt flat. I had very low self esteem and no energy to do anything about it. I didn't think I would see a change in my body quick enough to keep me interested. But instead I saw the external change and also a huge increase in my internal health I had so much energy and my fitness and strength had increased massively :-).. Ive lost 12cm around my waist 9cms from the hips.
